Alexis Morgan, MS

Alexis Morgan brings over 20 years of experience in education, with a deep commitment to strengthening schools and supporting families across Idaho. She recently completed her term as president of the Idaho Congress of Parents and Teachers and continues to serve on its board. Alexis previously launched the Our Kids, Our Schools podcast—focused on fostering collaborative school communities—which has now grown into The Purple Zone, a new podcast exploring how systems shape our communities, from policy on paper to action in practice.
Through The Purple Zone, Alexis engages in a broader exploration of public policy in action, especially as it impacts Idahoans—whether in education, health, housing, or local governance. The podcast also features Thinking Out Loud reflections from her perspective as a Ph.D. student and highlights the human side of public policy.
She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration at Boise State University. She holds a Master of Science in Adult Organizational Learning and Leadership and a Bachelor’s in History and Geography Teaching. Alexis has held numerous leadership roles, including serving as a school board director and on the boards of several Idaho nonprofits.
Outside of work, she enjoys life with her husband and four kids, hiking Idaho’s trails, and finding joy in everyday moments—especially the ones that bring a good laugh.
