Debbie Ketchum
Debbie Ketchum is a servant, transformational Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) leader with an extensive maternal/child nursing and leadership career spanning nearly three decades. Debbie is currently serving on the board of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) National Board of Directors. She is a clinical engagement specialist and expert consultant in the perinatal safety and outcome space, a subject matter expert peer reviewer for best practice Maternal-Newborn policy, and a certification author for the National Certification Corporations Maternal-Newborn exam.
Debbie has her Doctor of Nursing Practice in leadership and Master of Organizational Management; is board certified as an advanced nurse executive; and certified in maternal newborn care, electronic fetal monitoring, and respectful, equitable care. She is passionate about supporting and empowering care teams through relationships, research, education, and advocacy.
Her journey began as an active duty commissioned officer and nurse in the United States Army. She has continued to expand her expertise, working across diverse healthcare settings, including large academic institutions, regional health systems, and community and rural health in acute and post-acute settings.
She is proud to share her professional insight and inspiring passion to help health systems and healthcare teams envision improving perinatal operations through personal connections, innovation, and strategy.
