Theresa Lacovara is an educational leader with nearly 20 years of experience in the field of education. Currently serving as the Principal at Elevate Academy North, she is dedicated to fostering academic excellence and promoting equitable educational opportunities for all students, ensuring that every learner has access to the resources needed to succeed. 

Theresa brings a unique perspective shaped by her diverse experiences in various educational settings, including Department of Defense Education Activity (DODEA) schools, NATO schools, and a wide range of institutions across the United States. This multifaceted background enables her to effectively address the varied needs of her student population.

In addition to her administrative role, Theresa co-created a virtual ASVAB preparedness program, which assisted military personnel throughout Europe in advancing their careers. This initiative not only highlights her commitment to career readiness but also exemplifies her dedication to enhancing educational pathways for students and service members alike.

Theresa holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, along with two Master of Science degrees—one with a concentration in School Counseling and another in Educational Leadership. Her academic credentials provide her with a strong foundation for addressing the complex challenges faced by students in today’s rapidly evolving world.

After growing up in the Philadelphia area, she relocated to Idaho to further her career and educational journey. With a rich background in career and technology education, Theresa is committed to preparing students for success in an increasingly complex job market.

Theresa also holds a Master’s of Resiliency Certification from the University of Pennsylvania, reflecting her focus on building resilience among her students and the broader community. She is an active advocate for education, participating annually in advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C., where she works to promote essential educational initiatives that benefit schools and students nationwide.
