Dr. Emily Barnes is a Family Medicine with Obstetrics provider at a rural health clinic and critical access hospital in Moscow, ID. Dr. Barnes received her undergraduate degree from Duke University, then spent a year in rural India working on for the Comprehensive Rural Health Project which inspired her choice of family medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, then completed her family medicine residency in Boise, ID at the Full Circle Health program, graduating in 2022. After residency, she spent a year working as a locum tenens faculty attending physician and learning Spanish in Guatemala and El Salvador prior to completing her high-risk obstetrics fellowship at the University of Utah in 2024. Her practice currently includes full spectrum outpatient family medicine, inpatient and outpatient obstetrics, and inpatient and outpatient newborn and pediatric care. Her medical interests include obstetrics, newborn and pediatric care, and global health.
