Vince Raikhel trained to be a classical composer at conservatories in New York and Berlin prior to going to medical school at Cornell Medical College. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Washington and his chief residency in Quality and Safety at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Seattle. Dr. Raikhel is currently a hospitalist at the VA hospital in Seattle, the director of the Internal Medicine residency Clinician Educator Pathway, as well as a core faculty for the UW Center for Learning and Excellence in Medical Education. His scholarly interests include improving formative feedback, optimizing coaching frameworks, supporting the growth of medical educators, and simulation based learning. In his free time Vince enjoys growing sunflowers, building with LEGO, and admiring really old trees.
