Sarah Deming is an Assistant Professor of Human Development and Family Studies with a PhD in sociology from Washington State University. She uses qualitative and survey methods to study maternal well-being—physical, emotional, and social—and the policy and clinical care processes that shape it, translating her findings into patient-facing interventions and guidance for clinical practice and policy. She co-leads the PQC's perinatal mental health subgroup and serves on the board of the Idaho chapter of Postpartum Support International.
