Andrea Blackburn, MSN, RN, RNC-OB

Andrea Blackburn, MSN, RN, RNC-OB, is a Director of Nursing and Patient Care at St. Luke's Magic Valley, where she provides leadership for Women's Services, Children's Services, Respiratory Therapy, and Volunteer Services. With more than 18 years of nursing experience, Andrea has served in clinical and leadership roles across Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, OB Operating Room, Newborn Nursery, and critical access hospital settings.
A relationship-based leader, Andrea is passionate about developing high-performing teams, advancing patient safety, and improving outcomes for women, infants, children, and families. Throughout her career, she has led numerous initiatives focused on quality improvement, staff engagement, operational excellence, and evidence-based practice. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in Leadership and Management from Western Governors University and holds certifications in Inpatient Obstetrics and Electronic Fetal Monitoring.
Andrea is actively involved in advancing maternal and infant health across Idaho through her service on the Governing Board of the Idaho Perinatal Quality Collaborative (IDPQC), where she also co-chairs the Maternal Mental Health Subcommittee.
When she's not at work, Andrea can usually be found over-caffeinating, reading a good book, listening to NKOTB, playing fantasy football, or spending time with her husband and children. Her newest and favorite title is "Glammy" to the cutest baby girl, a role she proudly embraces whenever she gets the chance.
