
Asynchronous ECHO K12 Section 504
By participating in ECHO Idaho K12 Education series, educators can earn professional development credit. Credit is offered in partnership with the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences and will be transcribed for FREE through the University of Idaho. Whether you join our sessions live or access them asynchronously, we recognize and appreciate your commitment to education. This three-part ECHO Idaho series was designed to help participants build confidence in implementing Section 504 and supporting student success. Each 90-minute virtual session uses real-world case examples to make learning practical, engaging, and directly applicable to your school setting. An interdisciplinary panel of Idaho-based professionals, including school counselors and special education directors, guide each session, offering local insight and diverse perspectives to help you navigate common challenges and clarify the process.

This series was developed for school-based educators and support staff, including school administrators, nurses, counselors, psychologists, teachers, and social workers.

Joint Accreditation
In support of improving patient care, the University of Idaho, School of Health and Medical Professions is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Nursing
This activity is approved for continuing nursing education (CNE) contact hours.

Social Workers
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, the University of Idaho, School of Health and Medical Professions is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit.
Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists
For the purpose of re-licensure, the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses recognizes the University of Idaho, School of Health and Medical Professions as an approved provider of continuing education. To be considered continuing education, the session(s) are required to be germane to your practice. Final acceptance of the credit for recertification resides with your state board.
Alcohol and Drug Counselors (ADC/AADC/CPS)
The Idaho Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselor Certification (IBADCC) recognizes the University of Idaho, School of Health and Medical Professions as an approved provider of continuing education. Final acceptance of the credit for recertification resides with your state board.

- 1.50 ASWB ACE Credit

How to Access the Asynchronous ECHO K12 Section 504 Sessions
- Accept the Participation Agreement: Review the Participation Agreement, check the agreement box, and click the Enroll button. A confirmation message will appear at the top of the page.
- Select individual sessions: After accepting the agreement, check the box next to each session you’d like to attend. Click the Enroll button again.
- Confirm your enrollment: The Status will update from Available to Enrolled, and a confirmation message will appear at the top of the page. You will also receive a confirmation email for each session and access details.
- Complete all session components: Select a session and complete all components (i.e., watch the video, submit the survey, claim credit).
