Terry Ribbens, MD

Terry Ribbens, MD is a practicing primary care physician, clinical informaticist, and physician leader at St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, Idaho. He serves as an Associate Chief Medical Information Officer (aCMIO), where he leads initiatives at the intersection of healthcare delivery, clinical decision support, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence. Dr. Ribbens brings a frontline clinician’s perspective to the design and implementation of technology that improves patient care, clinician experience, and healthcare outcomes. His work focuses on responsible AI adoption, clinical informatics, care model innovation, and the transformation of healthcare workflows through human-centered design. He partners with physicians, operational leaders, and technology teams to advance strategies that improve quality, safety, efficiency, and the future of care delivery.
Dr. Ribbens went to medical school at the University of Iowa College of Medicine and completed residency at the Siouxland Medical Education Foundation. He is board-certified in Family Medicine and Clinical Informatics.
