How Credit Claiming Works
1. Complete the Symposium Pre-Registration Form
All attendees should first complete the symposium pre-registration form to confirm their interest in attending.
2. Return Here to Continue Credit Registration
After you complete pre-registration, you will be redirected to this page to complete the second phase of the registration process, which will allow you to claim CE/CME credit after the symposium.
3. Complete Continuing Education Registration
If you would like to claim CE/CME credit, you will need to complete the additional registration steps on this page.
- This step is required to track participation, complete the evaluation, and claim credit.
- There is a fee of $20 to sign up to claim credit for this training.
- After the symposium, you will receive a reminder email to complete the activity evaluation and to claim credit.

Target Audience
The target audience is primary care providers (MD, DO, PA, NP, RN, etc.) and exercise specialists, but community members are welcome to attend.
Learning Objectives
In this symposium, we hope to achieve the following:
- Inform the general public on the modifiable risk factors of brain health across all stages of an adult life.
- Support creating an environment that de-stigmatizes all brain conditions to allow for greater community engagement for those living with cognitive impairment or brain injury.
- Educate health care providers about brain health as it pertains to prevention, wellbeing, treatment and caregiver support.

Physician Associates / Physician Assistants
The University of Idaho, School of Health and Medical Professions has been authorized by the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 4.0 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.
Psychologists
Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs.

Social Workers
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, the University of Idaho, School of Health and Medical Professions is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 4.0 general continuing education credits.
Registered Dietitians & Dietetic Technicians, Registered
For the purpose of re-licensure, the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses recognizes the University of Idaho, School of Health and Medical Professions as an approved provider of continuing education. To be considered continuing education, the session(s) are required to be germane to your practice. Final acceptance of the credit for recertification resides with your state board.

- 4.00 CDR CPEUCompletion of this RD/DTR profession-specific or IPCE activity awards CPEUs (1 IPCE credits = 1 CPEU).
If the activity is dietetics related but not targeted to RDs or DTRs, CPEUs may be claimed which are commensurate with participation in contact hours (1 hour/60 minutes = 1 CPEU).
RDs and DTRs are to select activity type 102 in their Activity Logs. Performance Indicator selection is at the learner’s discretion. - 4.00 Continuing Education Credit
